About the AquaClimb® Sport Inventor, Christofer Born

fter an apprenticeship to a silversmith, Christofer Born studied product design in Vienna and Nuremberg. In 1996 he was nominated as a "Meisterschüler"A master in his class.

After his studies he worked for Rational as a Product Development Engineer and also for Niessing in the area of product design and product management. This work experience was followed by a year-long trip to Australia where he lectured at the TAFETechnical and Further Education of Perth and Sydney. He also used this trip to extensively pursue his interest in rock climbing.

In 2005 Christofer Born founded the Industrial Design Bureau, Born Product Ideas. (www.bornproductideas.de)

His designs are always committed to and in line with the initial product idea. Many of his works and concepts are based on technical inventions. This means that complete new products are often developed instead of mere visual modifications to existing designs. Christofer Born is always mindful of the thrill and sense of delight that comes from using these new products.

The luminaire LichtsackLuminaire Lichtsack, which he designed with a bit of a sense of humour, has already become a classic and won the 2003 Luminaire of the Year award and was selected by MD Moebel Interior Design Magazine as one of the best 200 products for the new millennium.

Many of his other products have received prestigious design awards including the Red Dot-Best of the Best and the Steel-Innovation-Prize.

The AquaClimb® Sport has been designed especially for the high requirements of water park architecture.
